Accredited in 2009 as a Digital Pedagogy Licence (Advanced) holder under Education Queensland’s Smart Classrooms Professional Framework, Nicole Mobbs is well aware of the potential of ICTs to enhance the learning of all students. Nicole has been exploring the potential uses of ICTs in both English and Drama since she began teaching nine years ago and in 2008 was awarded a Smart Classrooms Teacher Award for her work in these areas.
As Head of Department (Acting) for Senior English and Humanities at Chancellor State College Nicole has continued to push the boundaries of ICT integration in these subject areas and encouraging staff to do the same. This has resulted in the embedding a number of ICT rich units into the senior English program – including a HyperNarrative unit.
